There's a website named www.restaurant.com . You go there, type in your zip code or city, and it gives you the restaurants that participate in their discount coupons. Generally, you buy a $25 gift certificate for $10. Depending on the restaurant, they may have $10 gift certificates for $2 as well. When you visit the restaurant with the $25 cert, you generally have to purchase at least $35 worth of food, then they add 18% gratuity to the check before deducting the $25. Worst case scenario is that you're saving $15 ($25 cert less the $10 purchase price). When you become a member, you get emails with specials too. I just bought a $25 cert to a local steakhouse for $2! Pretty cool, huh? |

Pretty cool. There are 106 restaurants in my zip code and neighboring areas. I clicked on your link and it didn't work, but I typed in the address and it took me to the site. Weird. |

I had the same experience - only one restaurant in my zip though and its a place I wouldn't go |

I tried linking from my post, and I see the problem. I ended the sentence with a period, so the browser was trying to find www.restaurant.com. Leave the last dot off, and it will take you to the right site. |
Someone posted this on another site a long time ago, and we all seemed to come up with only restaurants no one goes to. I found more options in my mil's smaller town (less choices to eat). Very cool site and concept though!!! I keep looking again to see if any of our favorites are on there. |
I use it all the time, especially when they run the big 70 and 80 percent off specials. I normally buy them for vacations-- Vegas in particular has tons of places to choose from and we wind up only spending on what we would spend on fast food. We actually have quite a lot of good choices in our area that I've used, too. One thing to be careful of if you stock up the sales, they expire in a year. I've lost a few that way. |
