Was it hard to get him out?? |
Oh noooo!!! Yay, you didn't take pictures before screaming?
Did ya have any towels? Wet car? Thankfully the only time that has happened was at in-laws backyard (golf course lake), so I just screamed at Mr. J to get him inside where all the towels were. |
He just swam right in and looked totally unphased!
It was dark when we got in Friday night and Dave was out with the dogs and his dad. I was inside and heard a splash and a lot of laughter... followed by wet Rudie trotting in and wiping his face all over the couch |
I'm glad it wasn't eating a corn cob!!!! |
If Rudie likes swimming, that is an excellent exercise. I remember a guy who got a yellow lab who was 130lbs when he got it. He gave the dogs baby carrots for snacks and everyday he took Jake to the river and threw a tennis ball for Jake to chase. He did this religiously daily for a hour at a time.
Jake went from 130 to 95 in a few months. |
Oh good, at least he liked it! |
I don't know if he necessarily liked it... I think he just didn't get panicked or freaked out, which is a start!
He wouldn't go near the water for the rest of the weekend and we haven't been able to coax him into the lake at the dog beach. Someday we'll find something that Rudie likes (besides treats.) |
