I couldn''t find any info on the forum on this - hoping someone can help? Beckett has a white bump on his tounge. Its' been over a month and it does not seem to be getting bigger so I'm happy with that. At first I thought perhaps it was a canker of sorts, but ruled that out bc those (on humans) are said to be due to diet and the dog's diet hasn't changed - so there goes that. Then I thought maybe it was a blister or something from licking something hot (think bbq) but I think it should be gone by now if it was that. I'm not sure if its bothering him bc i can't exactly pull out his tounge and poke it without bothering him anyways. ha ha It does feel like a solid hard bump when he licks me though.... I'm fresh out of ideas and don't feel a need to spend lord knows what at the vet to have them tell me they need to run tests. ANY THOUGHTS?!??! |

My cat had something like that when he was with the rescue group prior to our adopting him. They did a biopsy to rule out malignancy. It was a cyst and they were able to remove it.
I would have it checked to make sure that it is just a benign cyst and not something cancerous. |
I agree it really is best to get it checked by a vet. |
Vet check you really do need to take him for a vet to assess. If it had gone away by now no problems, the fact it is still there and not going down you need an assessment of it. |
