When my breathing returned to normal I peered over and figured out these were the more acceptable local rodents- baby bunnies. Needless to say once the grow up and join the multitudes of older bunnies roaming our streets - not kidding, step outside at any time of the day or night and at least two bunnies will geet you - they walk down the street in front of the dogs and stop and look over their shoulders waiting for us to catch up if one stops to smell something, I will find them less adorable. Anyway. We were concerned that the dogs would disturb the babies, so I only let them out in the yard when I was around. I knew Marley wouldn't go to that side of the the yard - she is afraid of the fence and keeps to a smaller open area. Morgan on the other hand - well he is a stomach on legs. Saturday night I had the dogs out while I was grilling and Morgan found the bunnies and lay down next to the nest until I called him in. Starting Sunday night he must have gotten bored with the bunnies and now will stand near the nest and bark - come on out and play with me!! Just what I needed, more dog proof bunnies to eat everything in the yard! |

lol I have lots of bunnies too. good thing we have a fence or we would not have 3 furkids. they are cute when they are babies though.
now the big ones just get to the edge of the yard and tease the dogs. bark bark bark.... |
Can MO come play? She loves to chase bunnies! Caught one once as just as afraid as the rabbit. |
