yikes! currently, (at 9AM) it is 40F....with a projected high later in the day of 81F...with dense smoke from the many wildfires....and flooding (????? ) Apparently (according to the "severe weather alert") the the temps have been so high that the glacier melt runoff is causing the river to flood. Ok...so what do you pack for these conditions? At least Im in a trailer...not a tent! (right Val? ) |

Almost the same as here - well, minus the flooding, as we don't have glaciers in MN!!!!
It was 48F when I was getting ready for work at 6am, but a forcasted high of 85-90 and windy. What extremes all in one day. It's 12:30 here and already up to 75, so I bet it will get up there. You just have to pack everything you own with forecasts like this!!! |

Fairbanks is wonderful in the summer, but it does have a habit of bursting into flame. About the only time the interior gets high winds is when it is on fire. But I am sure Laurel that after last summer of cold and rain, the people of the interior will be glad to spend money at the fair. I wish I could come up, but I have use my leave up. It does look like you will have great weather for your drive up.
I will see you when you return to the land of rain. I hope you come home having sold all you originals. How you and the fuzzies have tons of fun. |
