I bought a hindes orange pad long pin brush on the internet I can't find any straight pin brush locally. It cut my grooming time in half easily and Roger now relaxes much much more during grooming. You have to be careful to use a comb to test the section you are finished with because it will leave a mat or two. But it is the best thing since the Sheepdog. I also have talked to a bunch of folks here is one more trick mix a small amount of conditioner in a spray bottle if you are pulling hair spray where you are brushing or combing it will help. The pin brush really works. Go get one. Have fun Chris |

I was just as amazed and thrilled with the use of good quality, proper grooming tools. I had no idea it would make such a huge difference.
Also, I am amazed that a pin brush with even tiny tips pulled out SO much hair, I had thought it was just normal and to be expected until trying a straight pin brush with absolutely no tips. Almost no hair comes out. |
Yes, there used to be a 3 inch high pile of hair now there is just what is caught in the brush, less than a hand full. |
Roger's Dad,
I'm glad to hear that the Hindes brush helped out so much. While the right tool cannot guarantee a good result the wrong tool will guarantee a poor result. Every brush has it's limitations and in the case of Hindes I find that to be it's longevity. Keep an eye on the pad, it will burst out from the handle at some point and need re-gluing as I have described - all in all an easy 25 minute process and a day of curing. Also watch for the pins sinking into the pad and when that begins to happen order your back-up brush. Have fun and enjoy your grooming/bonding time with Roger. Cheers Carl |
