my daughters have.
One of my friends here in the US skypes with her daughter in China. |
I like the computer because I don't have to talk. (Which is odd because I'm a heck of a talker, just not much of a phone person.) |

somehtings a mother just doesn't need ot know Sorry - I couldn't resist. I actually had to look skype up - I don't think I had heard of it. How does it compare to VOIP? |
It is VoIP, except it's peer to peer. |

How does it compare to VOIP? LOL We are a pretty open with the family talk at our house. But occasionally a new story will pop up from the past..... |
we used skype a couple times a week to video chat to my family in MN when we were living in England. Twas great! Don't use it anymore though, thank goodness we don't need to |
Yes jill I have skype... |
I do!! I love it!
DH travels O/S for work and we use it every day when he's away. The new skype video is fantastic. I spent half the calls following the dogs around so he could see what they were doing. Because he has to stay in hotels with internet to his room for work, it means we can chat all we like for free. |
it's so nice! i wish i'd known about it back when hubby and I first started dating, when he was in UK and I was in US...so much $ in phone bills could have been completely avoided. SO SO MUCH. /cry
oh well. it is quite a handy little program. |
