Glad all are safe and sound! Not an adventure for someone with such a bad back.
Little D! (almost enough to make me break my ban on a new puppy) |

Ali was at the vet today. She didn't get an ultrasound on Dee...but he said she was definately preggers...seems to think it may be a big litter too. Ali is beside herself. I thought I would let you all know. Duncan will be a dad so he can live on in his progeny. |
Preggers fur sure....woo woo! |
How do I break it to HEART , that her momma Dee is preggers and that she ((and the other 6))) will not be the babies anymore?????
(((( )) I am soooo happy for Ali!!!! Duncan lives on!!!! Congratulations !!!!!!! |

I'm so happy for Ali!!!!!!! WOW! Can't wait to hear updates!!! |
In the new home as of today. OMG I have died and gone to heaven! Even the dogs and cat think so. This house is gorgeous. It could be in Land and Country or whatever it is! It is huge..... way too big for just me. I have closed off 4 of the bedrooms. And the way to the rooftop....... will use this only for barbques etc. The dogs get lost looking for me if i move and they are sleeping or outside! lol. And it is all glass door around the inside.... so they get lost....an stand there and look in or bark.... lol my
ROCK....... Checkers. Caly was Miss explorer on her own goiing up andd down stair's and in and out of rooms. The keeper at the other house helped me move..... 2 loads in my car then I went back for a third, the dogs and cat. As it is a hacienda style built in a square with wide open middle.... the dogs thought they had died. They just laid in the courtyard grass. I am thnakful they drained the hottub actually as I was worried about it with the animals. They all were 'curious' about the hottub........ I wish I could continue this house past Dec. we will see what happens. I did get wonderful news.......... Delilah IS pregnant with Duncan puppies. Very pregnant! The vet here is wonderful, trained in USA. and KNOWS how to dock. We had long conversations on this. Okay I am off now to go cook something for dinner.... That means going down 24 steps and to the other side of the 'casa'. It's been a long day. We are all tired. But we now have internet........... and TV (Yeah!!). This week I have to put my clothes away, and brush out 2 dogs... they get bathed on Thursday and we leave Friday A. M. for Zacatecas 4 hours away, for our first shows, this coming weekend. Your house sounds wonderful and it is great to hear you made it safe and sound. Great news on Dee crossing Paws now. Good luck this week at the show! |
Wow!!!
I only have two things to say. 1. I am insanely jealous. 2. Where are the pictures. Yes I have a masochistic streak. If I'm going to be jealous then I may as well know exactly what I am jealous about. |
It sounds wonderful.
And I wil be the first one to say - "Roadtrip to Ali's new house!" |
We need pics!!! |
I promise to send some as soon as i become 'human'again.
All the dogs and i are flat wowrn out. We went to our first dog show this weekend. I swear i am going to write a book: One blonde Chick and 3 Gay guys and 3 vehicles full of dogs traveling to dog shows in Mexico. It is so unbelieveable it will have to be made into a movie. I think to myself, no one, no one but I would embark on an adventure such as this....... and i am laughing all the way. The highways are being reworked for 2010 all roads to lead to Mexico City. It is the bicentennial of Independence. The countryside here is so beautiful. It is a HARD country. Anyone who has ever lived in Arizona or southern West Texas, New Mexico would KIND of have an inkling. It isn't a New England or a Colorado Beauty but a rough ruggad beauty.......... at one point i looked out and there must have been 6 different types of cactus taller than me! The one was putting on the 'buds' that everyone makes cactus jelly out of..... they were a bright red color next to the green of the lower cacti. There has been much rain, so the ground has fresh green grass coming up for the animals to eat. One town we went thru was typical adobe housing....... to some would see poverty (there is) and ruins........ but there were 7 little boys around 8 years or older playing baseball in the front yard. About a block down, there were kids playing in an old abandoned car. These kids are HAPPY and they dont have internet, or xbox etc to get them that way......... a much simpler type of life. The fields are being plowed with two horses (i did see two big bulls being used in one field) with the land patron walking behind them with the wooden plow. Fields and fields of hand plowed corn and other vegitables being grown...... Each town has some fiesta or another going on........ the kids are more used to the fireworks than the lightening storms! I swore to the guys they were taking me back the the US border to deport me we were half way there for this show. It was the first show for this Brand New Kennel Club. They were so proud of their new building. Better than a lot I have been in in the USA. It was so beautiful and you could hear a pin drop. I could smell rain and if you looked out th open ends of the building you could see the rain, but you never heard it! Checkers and Claypso started off with a great start. Both took their first Mexican Points, and Checkers went Best of Breed and a Group 4 on Saturday under american judge Stephen Keeting. Our whole group as a whole did fantsting we had more Group ribbons flying on the outside of our tent than anyone else! Yesterday we took the points and BOB again but nothing in the group. Hey it is a first show.......... we have time. Rodrigo my Veterinarian Friend took a Group 3 with my friend Janices Standard Poodle puppy in the Junior class. I also know a bit how celebrities must feel. The OES, or Antiqua Pastor Englaise as they are known here, are a RARITY. One gets very tired of answering the name of the breed... and being stared at all day long. (i must rememaber that dog showing is an event here only the privilidged are able to afford really). But at the point when we were trying to go eat dinner (another tale to tell, if they tell you it is cow tell em to leave it at that, don't ask what part of the cow!) It was 5 persons deep trying to close the rear hatch on my car from the flash bulbs and people. I had to just say "lo siente much" and close the door, LOCK the car, and walk over to eat. Then the long drive back home. Arrived sometime this morning and am starting to become alive again. i felt like a kid......."how much longer?' "You lied ot me you said only 30 more minutes!!" lol. Until the next show..........which is in September EXPOCAN a whole MONTH long of dog shows.... in Mexico City where they hold the World Dog Shows.... not sure if i will be going,.......... i will have babied here!!!! But the 2 youngsters here will go with Rod or Luis until the next time I can go. |
WHoooo!!Hoooo!!! Way to go guys!!!!!!! Make your momma proud!!!!
Congrats!!! and give everyone champion kisses from all of us in St. Lou~!! |
