Today was a happy day for Shaggy and I as we adopted a new girl. My sweet Malinois (Mali) lost her life in a tragic accident about 2 months ago and I felt it was time for a new dog in our lives. Enter a sweet Malinois (same age as Mali) we adpoted today from a wonderful foster family (Thanks ABMC and Mainois Rescue!), she is quite a gal and seems to fit in nicely. Her and my Sheepie hit it off well (more like he started herding her when he saw her! Much to my chagrin!) Like many rescues, she has experienced a checkered past and needed a clean break and fresh start to become the dog she was made to be. The foster family were so kind to her and even did quite a bit of training with her to prepare her for a new life in addition to introducing her to other dogs and plenty of love and TLC.
We are acclimating tonight and getting ready for a fun weekend! |
