They have him quarantined, since it is contaigious pnemonia. Anyone in or out of his room has to wear a new gown, gloves, slippers and mask. Both he and I have had pneumonia many times, since we have asthma, and colds hit us harder. I haven't had pneumonia in a long time though, and not bad like this since I was about 9 and my lung collapsed. I've been busy this week helping to place rescue oes, which almost never happens around here, but this week there have been 3 in Ontario. I am also fostering an 8 month oes male for a month while his owner goes to help out in Sri Lanka. I feel like maybe I missed my husbands symptoms worsening because I've been so busy Anyway, all this is why I haven't been posting much lately, and may not for the next little while. Or, alternatively, I may be so lonely without him here that I may drive all of you crazy! LOL Thanks for "listening" |

Poor Hubby! Poor Willow! Poor everybody!
I send a whole bunch of "ooggely wooggelies" to you, to help you both (all?) feel better. |
Lots of hugs from all of us! Don't beat yourself up that you missed something with your husband's symptoms. He's an adult. If something was going on he would have known it, too.
Most importantly, make sure that you take care of yourself, too! You can't do anybody any good if you're sick, too! Keep us up to date on how things are going. Bentley's Mom |
Poor Rob!! I told him not to wait too long, he should have listened to me. It is not your fault, it is just some men can be stubborn. I for one have one of those stubborn husbands. Of course he and you will be in our prayers for a VERY speedy recovery. Don't worry about the house and such, just relax and concentrate on your husband and your kids.....AND yourself! <<<<<BIG HUGS>>>> to you and your family.
Jack and Annabelle say " Get well sooooooooon!" Stormi |
Thanks guys
As for him being adult..... not about everything! |
Hi Willowsprite,
Poor you! Sounds like it's a hectic time for you, 2 sheepies, 5 kids and a sick hubby! You take good care of yourself as well! I hope everything in your household returns back to normal and we see you more often in here again. Hugs Marianne |
Hectic yes, although we actually only have 3 kids. My daughter who is 14, my son who is 12, and my youngest son who is 9. I have a stepson as well who is 13, but he is not here this weekend.... the house feels too quiet. LOL |
Hi, hopefully this post finds your husband home from the hospital. I hope he's feeling much better! |
Thanks... he says he is feeling better than he was, but they're still not letting him out. I'm hoping for tomorrow, but I doubt it |
Hi Again,
You only have 4? ..ah well I can send over one of mine. Hee Hee. I hope you are holding up and can laugh about it in the near furture. Cheers! Marianne |
Hope he's feeling better soon! |
I've been missing from the forum for a few days as well, so I'm just catching up with this. Hope he's feeling better soon and can come home! You can take care of him better at home!
You are in the running for Super Mom, huh? One sick hubby, 3 (sometimes 4) kids, two sheepies of your own, one foster sheepie, helping to place 3 other sheepies, plus working outside the home. Yikes! I'm getting tired just THINKING about it all! If you are prone to pneumonia as well - STOP! Take care of yourself, cause everyone knows how the house stops when Mom is sick! Hugs to everyone, two-legged an four-legged! Prayers for a speedy recovery. Chris |
He's hooooooommmmme! LOL
They finally released him.... and I am staying home again today to care for him for at least his first day home, though I'll have to go back to work tomorrow for sure. I must admit, this being home with no kids is nice.... it's so QUIET. LOL Thank you to everyone for your well wishes, and for "keeping me company" |
Phew! Just got back onto the list this AM- and saw your post! how scary!!!! I'm so glad hubby is feeling better!
Karen |
So sorry I haven't been around, I am glad he's home. That was a pretty scary thing to go through, I wish him a speedy recovery.
I hope you are also getting rest, while you take care of everybody else. |
Above post by me, Daisie. |
Glad your husbands home and your both feeling better. We have three asthmatics in our household also. It seems in the winter the kids are always sick more due to catching so much at school. They are much better in the summer. My oldest daughter had collapsed lung also in third grade . She's 20 now but still has trouble with her asthma every time she catches cold. What a busy house you have.Very nice of you finding homes for all the poor doggies.Stay well.Hope your husbands not as cranky as mine when he's sick |
LOL... a little cranky, kind of like a teething toddler.
He went back to work today, too soon in my opinion, he got home around 5 and is wiped out. My daughter is sick now, but so far just a sore throat and a mild cough, I'm hoping she will get over it on her own like I did. I've been very lucky, my kids almost never get sick, and when they do it seems milder and shorter lived than most. *touch wood* LOL |
