You can be in a room with him and if a door is open that isn't wedged open (rubber door wedges are not a chew toy Archie! ) he will deliberately nose it closed, and then he stands under the handle with his nose to the door, as if something interesting is on the other side of the door, if you open the door he'll close it again, if you are not in the room he won't do it, it's all a little odd. Anyone else have a daft sheepie like this? Is this to stop us escaping out of our field? |

just be glad he doe not do it to himself. You be letting him out of rooms all the time and it might become a game. lol
Maybe he is proud of what he can do now and wants to please you. I thimk its cute. |
Abracadabra has always been a door closer. Her favorite is at bedtime when she checks to be sure everyone is where they should be then she closes the door. I guess like closing the gate so we don't get out! |
I think Archie is very clever to close doors, dont think Summer does any thing like that.... her most annoying habit is making a garden visit and having a poo, turning round and walking back in the house, I then say to her are you sure? she then remembers she didnt have a wee and rushes back out...every morning..... |
Sounds like Archie likes his new "tricks"????!! ... as if he just found out what he can do??
Charlie is more the one who opens doors instead of closing them! |
OK, he's figured out how to close the door, now he needs help learning how to open it. If Lassie could do it, so could Archie. Imagine him amusing himself all day long
Get one of those handicap attachments that puts a plastic handle on the know. |
I think thats quite a good trick. It could be worse he could open them and take himself for a walk!! |
Wow Archie is clever!! Ru has never closed a door, but he opens them ALL. I'm not even allowed to go to the toilet with the door closed |
Ollie lays across door ways, always has done - its their way of penning the family in.
Although I'm not sure why Archie is staring at the door ? You might have a ghost, you never know ? |
We have an air conditioning vent by our one inside door, when Chaunce was a puppy he liked to lay there, so we'd get up & push it open for him. Now occasionally he'll forget how to push it open enough to lay there, and wait for us to do it for him. His main problem is I don't believe in intermittent stupdity.
Could you send Archie over for a week |
I have another theory, he is not keeping us in, maybe he is keeping the cats out, or at least out of site so that he does not HAVE to chase them |
