boiled 4 lg russets waited till they cooled to peal. took off skins, heated them in micro heat milk,and melted butter. add salt,pepper mix.add broccoli and mash together.(saw this on foodnet.) first time I did this they were great. anyway these tasted watered down, no taste ect. have over half left. what can I do to them to improve them? I hate to toss them. |

Do you have any dried mashed potato? You could incorporate that into the mash. Then add an egg, form into patties and dry. Top with a little cheese of choice, cover until cheese melts. |

Yum! If you don't have instant- you might try the above, and instead of adding those, roll the mixture in a bit of flour before frying. I do that sometimes when I get a little carried away with the milk in mashed potatoes Or-- you could saute onions, celery and garlic-- add to the potaotes, along with chicken stock for a nice soup. |
