Yesterday I got one (and it actually got installed)!!! Since I love the smell of freshly outdoor dried laundry I couldn't wait to hang up my clothes. I did a batch early in the morning, and it was all shirts and boxers. Hudson went out and sat underneath the line, eyeing the clothes but not sure what to make of them. The second load went up in the afternoon sun. Hudson went out again, and sat "pretty" under the laundry. This load included pants and pjs. I turned my back and went to water the plants on the deck (our clothesline is across the deck for convenience). A few minutes later I turned around. Guess who silently and stealthily pulled down every single item he could reach? Well.... It sure wasn't me. And since Portage and my husband refused to leave the air conditioned house at all, my money's on Hudson. You wouldn't know to look at him though. He was back to sitting pretty with clean laundry strewn all around on the deck. And those innocent, puppy dog eyes. Evil puppy strikes again. |

what a cheeky boy Hudson!!! |
Bally steals clothes off our line too... and then buries them. He honestly seems to think he's being helpful |
oh my , to funny. Well not really but can I ask how he got them? and what your going to do to stop him next time. LOL |
We. Must. Have. Picutres.
LOL |
Mommy's little laundry helper, "I'm sure you didn't mean to leave them out here unattended." |
Ok, Hudson was trying to help you out by taking your laundry off the line for you. He just needs to be told to alt least wait until the laundry is dry before he removeds them.
A sheepie laundry helper. |
I don't think Hudson would have been all that successful taking down the first load silently. Shirts and undies aren't all that long. He would have had to jump. (Which is not something he's against doing, but it would have made more noise.)
Pants and pjs were much longer and thus hung closer to the ground. I doubt he needed to do much more than stretch his neck, or possibly go up on his back legs for a "boost." No jumping required. I imagine he'll move on to shorter loads in time. He may be the world's tiniest sheepie, but conversely, once you get to know him, he's actually the world's biggest Jack Russell. (And fully shaved it's not that much of a reach.) |
Well....I applaud Hudson!!!!
All those wonderful smelling pieces of clothing, flapping in the wind, right above his nose?????? He just couldn't help himself~~~~ |
WTG, Hudson
There is a very good reason my dog yard and clothes line are on OPPOSITE sides of the house! |
Gotta love the Hudson stories!! |
