Also, where can I find the Ice on Ice so many of you all talk about? |

You may want to use a specially formulated tearless puppy shampoo for around the eyes of your dog. Use a damp washcloth to act like a visor to keep any soap (even tearless) from dripping into the eyes. Lather and rinse quickly and thoroughly. Don't leave shampoo around the eye area while lathering other parts of the dog.
You can find Ice on Ice from any vendor that sells Chris Christensen products. I especially like Cherrybrook.com for grooming tools and products. |
When washing any dog you wet the coat from the back forward, I would leave the head until you've shampoo'd the legs and body etc. Wet the head I place my hand over the eyes if there moving around a lot, I do find that most dogs will allow you to hold there heads back so you can work the shampoo in, then spray the mouth area (shower head is easier) to remove the shampoo and then again tilt the head back so the water runs down the neck. This will stop any shampoo getting into the eyes.
Once you've done it a couple of times it will be easier. Val |
