I wasn't sure if I'd like this b/c I thought it would be plain, but we've had this twice now and it's been a huge hit!! First was on the grill for a big party at da house, and the second was in the oven ...which is more convenient for me. Served with watermelon and garlic bread. * 3/4lb ONLY FRESH green beans, trimmed and halved * 1/2lb leave skin on red potatoes, quartered into bite size pieces * 1 onion chopped * 1lb sausage, sliced (I'm anti kiebalsa as mentioned many times and believe andouille sausage is BEST with this due to its cajun spices) * 1t salt (i thought it was a lot but it was perfect!) * 1t pepper * dashes of red pepper * few drizzles of oil * 1/3C water Cut everything and put all ingred. in a roast pan COVERED with foil at 425 for 40-50 min (keep feeling w/fork if potato is done)! Last 15 minutes uncover foil so everything browns nicely. Notes pt 1: I actually cut potatoes and green beans in bowl then added salt and pepper and mixed, so it was evenly distributed before putting in disposable pan. I drizzled what was prob. a tsp of oil on top. The sausage has plenty. Notes pt 2: I seared sausage just for a few minutes the sausage w/Worcestershire sauce sauce to keep the flavor and actually didn't add them until the last 20+ min ...b/c I wanted to make sure they don't get dry. Glad I did b/c it was PERFECT. For grill, put on high heat. Place everything in foil, sprinkle oil then tightly seal ...leaving a small hole to add water then reseal. Grill for 20-30 min turning once and until everything is tender. |

That looks delicious!! This is one that I will definitely try! Thanks! |
I forgot to add that when I grilled, I added chopped red pepper for color but didn't have any when I baked this (there's green instead).
edit again: ...and lots of fresh garlic!! |
