The owner had passed away and he was living in the back yard I didn't not see pictures as they were unable to send... The description was a sheepdog, without a tail, one blue eye, one brown and a little hard of hearing,4y/o..(deaf or typical sheepie??) So, Marty left yesterday for the venture... Well, Marty picked up a totally arthritic Australian Shepherd.. very few teeth, missing an eye, deaf and old as who knows! He will be at the vet tomorrow to see exactly what we are facing... He is very sweet..... I have contacted all the aussie rescues I know! Cross paws for the old man..... |

What a state to be in at 4 years old - awful, hope he finds a good loving home - keep us posted |
Well, it is hard judging age without teeth........ But I do get upset with so called dog experts who can't tell breeds or try to pull one over by contacting anything close. In Pyr rescue we found any large white dog was a "Pyr" and in OES rescue anything shaggy was a sheepdog....but an Aussie isn't that shaggy!
I hope one of the Aussie groups comes forward for this old man. |
Despite the disapointment I'm so glad your husband took him anyway as this poor boy obviously needed help. I'm glad it was you as he's in the best hands. Good for you and your hubby for stepping up!

Awe...I hope it all works out....How sad...poor guy....
I know you and Marty will get him in good hands. Kudos to Marty for picking him up REGARDLESS. |
He has heartworms too...... One day at a time! |
Poor guy. |
oh no...poor thing... |
That poor old dog. The whole situation is sad. Losing his owner, old dog in poor health, HW on top of all that. |
