Yes, puppies are like babies they have to eat, drink and go potty often. They also have sleep patterns similar to babies.
Our forum has a lot of great advise regarding puppies, so look through the forum threads. I think most of your questions will be answered and give you a hint of what to expect. Good lucjk with your pups. |
LOL...Welcome to puppyland...I am sure it is twice as bad with two ~~~
Somewhere, there are posts...mainly from ME!!! Heart was an early riser....I mean EARLY!!!! I would have LOVED for her to wake me up at 4:30. Her regular wake up time was usually 3:00-4:00..... It will get better... |
Normal? You ask NORMAL! As time goes by you will realize there is almost NOTHING "normal" about an OES! They are a breed unto themselves. Our Bailee was waking us throughout the night for the first couple of months, but, that is actually a good thing. He knew when he had to go outside and let us know. Now, 9 months old, he usually awakes about 7 in the A.M., not in a hurry to go out, but certainly HUNGRY! Welcome to the Real World of the OES. |
Patience is a big part of owning an OES. All puppies are trying, but this breed wants to remain "puppies" for longer than many. If you don't have patience or a very good sense of humor.......it will be a difficult year...or so. |

that was some very good advice! We are at a year now with Chiquita and I really wish I could be more relaxed and think more of her stunts are funny |
