I didn't know where to post this?
Is it possible to show a spayed bitch in the UK? It doesn't seem to mention this on the Kennel Club breed standard and is the standard the same in all countries? Thank you.

In Canada there are on rare occasions classes for altered dogs/bitches... not sure about anywhere else...
In the U.S., the UKC offers an altered class now but AKC does not have the same option.
No not in ordinary classes, sometimes they do hold a neutered class at a breed specialty. But they cant compete in ordinary classes or gain points towards there championship. Any country similar rules, a dog has to be entire to enter shows. :D
In the US you can show a spayed bitch (or neutered male for that matter), if she is a finished champion, as a veteran at an independent specialty. Occasionally some AKC kennel clubs will hold a class for veteran competition & will state in their premium list that altered dogs may enter but not be eligible for group competition or BIS.
something in the back of my mind is telling me that in the UK you can show an altered bitch.
I may be wrong, but I would go to the Kennel club website and read all the rules............ not the breed standard but the KC rules.
