Great new dog tag that can contain WAY more information than a 1" metal disc...even pictures! Although I don't think it is a replacement for the good old fashioned ID tag because it requires the person who finds your lost animal to have a computer...but yet another way to protect! Limited time offer, $10 off. http://www.petproductadvisor.com/store/ ... C-20090608 |

I think it's a pretty good idea, even if it is just a thumb drive encased in plastic. It was smart to put it together! |
Knock on wood....never needed to use it but, I like those
ole microchips! Tags are so easily lost! JMHO Of course tags are great too! |
Cool idea
At least with tags etc the person who finds your dog can contact you without having to go to a vet or other authority with a microchip scanner. I've returned 4 lost dogs directly to their owners due to the phone number on the dogs collar being up to date. One other I took to my vet and they kindly scanned her and phoned to get owner details from the microchip people. It made me realise that a microchip is great as the failsafe way to identify but a good 'ol fashioned tag with phone number means you might get your dog back a lot sooner and without having to pay a fine to the lost dog man. |
