I'm a longtime Sheepdog lover, but have never owned one. I'm now 43 and am ready to add one to my family. I found a breeder in a nearby state, but am concerned since she never asked me anything about myself and even offered to meet me halfway to deliver the puppy. From what I've been reading here, it sounds like a good breeder should ask questions about the potential owner and I should also see the litter first. Any thoughts or suggestions on what I mentioned and does anyone know of a breeder in CT or in a nearby state? MA, RI, NY, ME, NH, to name a few... Thanks! Sheryl |

Hi Sheryl, welcome to the community!
Have you seen the OESCA breeder referral list? Let's start there! http://www.oldenglishsheepdogclubofamer ... ectory.htm |
Not sure if you are interested in an older dog, but I am aware the NEOESR has several dogs needing furever homes right now. There is a picnic in Massachussetts on Sat. if you want to take a ride to check out some sheepies. The rescue website is neoesr.org, if you haven't found it already. Good luck!
