It went something like this: hooooooo hoo hoo hoo hoooooo And I used to love listening to the owls at night. We live in the middle of the city, and happen to be on a riverbank, so we have owls. The first thirty years of my life I'd never even seen an owl in the city, so one of my favourite things about this particular house is the wildlife (and only five minutes from downtown...) Yep, there's nothing more relaxing than the sound of the owls through an open window at night. Then Hudson entered our lives.... So, question now....what sounds to owls NOW make at my house? It goes something like this.... hoooooooooooooo hooo hooo hooo hoooooogggrrrrroar... barkbarkbarkbarkbark snarl...bark bark grrrr GRRRRR... snarl....bang bang bang....Hudson, stop trying to break the window and shut up! Hudson no. Hudson no. @$@%%$%! Hudson! Shut up! I miss the good old days when the owls in my life hooted, and the dogs in my life just kept on snoring. |

I know the feeling all too well! |
My owls are silent. I've seen one hanging arounf in the back yard, but I don't think I've ever heard him/her hoot.
I do, however, have some grey birds that sounds just like you type, and also a "Joanie Bird" that seems to constantly call my wife's name... "JOONEEEEEEEEE........... JOONEEEEEEEEE" Ok, well it could be "Hello" or any other two syllable word or phrase, but it'll always be our "Joanie Bird". |
sounds like my house with the coyotes................. |
