So now I think we will again. What kind of maker do you use? Most have freezer bottoms and use no salt. Is that the trend? Any help !! |

I make ours all the time and have only used a mixer or food processor.
* 10 oz package frozen blueberries or sliced strawberries * 1/2C sugar * 2/3C heavy cream in blender, mix in half of the cream, then berries of any sort, then the sugar and rest of cream as needed. process until roughly chopped. freezes for a week. Tastes delicious and takes a few minutes! |
We just use the old freezer type that runs with a motor on top, and use lots of rock salt around the canister.
We always make it for July 4th--- everyone seems to love homemade ice cream. I don't like it at all, but I think I am the exception to the rule. Good luck on your search for the perfect machine. |

as far as your idea that is one we are looking at. $49.00 on sale. what I have also looked at is a kitchenaid add on. $79.99 then a 20% discount. any thoughts? |
