Mali, my beloved Belgian Malinois
This was the sweetest dog I have ever had. She was always by my side and just a loyal girl. Shaggy and I will bury her this morning. |

| Thank you for you kind prayers, thoughts, and words: they mean more to Shaggy and I than you could imagine. Ron, thanks for this site! There is no other like it in the world for OES lovers and it has been a GOD send to me these past 21 or so hours. There have been kind words from overseas (England...near where I was stationed in the Air Force) and so many others here in the states (even my native New Mexico) Shaggy and I express our gratitude for your kind prayers, thoughts, and words.
Shaggy and I layed the sweet Malinois to rest under a big palm tree on my parents property (near my other long gone dog friends) shortly after sunrise on a misty, cool, Florida morning. She is with GOD now and I know that Shaggy and I will see her again. Before we went out this morning, I was thinking that "Mali" was such an inappropriate name for such a sweet dog and dubbed her with the Christian name of "Grace" it fit her well. Mali was a rescue girl. I adopted her when she was about one year old and had a real initiation into the breed the first month or two. Her sweet disposition and drive to be with Shaggy and I always (she even climbed into the shower with me more than I can remember..till I shooed her out) was indeed impressive. She slept in a lounge chair near my bed with her head on the arm rest and always watched me when I slept. I would wake up with a Malinois lying beside me and a big pair of brown eyes and alert ears looking at me. I will miss that tonight. Thank you all! |

| The pain is so overwhelming when they leave us and is intensified when it's before their time, yet knowing them, we would do it again in a heartbeat.
You allowed us a glimpse into Mali's personality and what made her special. I have no doubt that her brief time on earth living with you and Shaggy was full of happiness. I hope in time you will overcome the grief and think back of her life with a smile as you gave her a wonderful life. RIP Sweet Mali and I'm sorry for your loss. Marianne |
