Canny Collar

Has anyone used this? I like the look of it because you have the lead coming from behind the dog's head instead of underneath like the Halti. Also, the part over the nose seems to stay fitted so there are no parts for the dog to chew. I've also seen it attached to a harness.

What do you guys think? Would it stop hard pulling?

It's a halty and although I have never used one, I know people who do are amazed at how easy walking is. Many say it is like 'power steering' for a dog. If you contol the head, you can control the body!!!
Looks like a Halti married to Cesar's Illusion collar. I have no clue how much better it would be than a Halti and I think it might be a little better than just the Illusion. (or however Cesar's spells it......named after his wife)
I don't like how it doesn't allow you to apply a correction to the dog. I use a prong collar and probably wouldn't consider anything else. It worked like magic on my guy who thought his mission in life was to drag people around.
I agree w/the others. Since I owe my sanity to our halti/gentle leader, I'd say go for it! It's one of the BEST purchases I've made for our dog.
I love my gentle leader  The canny one looks like the correction is by pulling the dogs head back and up where the gl is by pulling the dogs head towards you
We (Bailee, Bailee's Mom and I) started Obedience Traiing last week. Our Trainer uses the Gentle Leader for all students. It is a Miricle! No pulling, no tugging (still working on the jumping). One of Bailee's classmates (Pit Bull named Puma) was too excited to allow it to be properly fitted. Without it, she was, to say the least, "Way out of control. Hopefully her owner will be able to fit it on her for next week. It took Bailee about 4 or 5 walks to fully accept wearing it, but now he just stands and waits for me to snap it on and off we go.
Someone I know uses a canny collar and they are slightly different to a halti but the principal is the same. It does stop pulling

I have a halti for George as he pulls when he is nervous or he doesn't want to go somewhere. It gives me the control that I wouldn't have if he was just on a collar and lead.

It took a bit of getting used to (for him and me) but its ok now and he doesn't pull at all when he wears it.

I have noticed that he also doesn't pull if his lead is attached to his collar but he is wearing the halti!!!
Cassie I think Kim uses the Canny Collar on both of her girls - maybe you can chat about it at sheepie day (Not long now!!!!!)
yes I do!!! Cassie I will PM you I have just got yr PM..

Kim see you soon
The Gencon headcollar works really well, i have one for my min poodle and withher small neck etc, she used to pull like a train until I got one of these. They did this collar for their german sheperds, check out the website.
