Vet.
I feel itchy and miserable just reading about it And please make sure they report his reaction to the manufacturer. Kristine |
My maltese had a reaction to a topical (maybe revolution?), and I could not stand seeing her in so much pain. I definitely took her to the vet. I think they gave her some much needed soothing ointment, and she had a permanent bald spot from where it burned her so bad. I think it would have been a lot worse if I didn't take her in. I don't know if yours is as bad. My girl never scratched hers though to cause it. Hope your doggie gets relief fast!
edit: Wanted to add that I NEVER tried a topical on her again. Was NOT brave enough and wasn't worth seeing her go through that esp. with other options. Vet thought it was a good idea, but her skin was more pink and probably very sensitive. |
I agree... take him to the vet. A friend recently had a problem with
Advantix... it irritated her dog too. As Kristine says, request your vet report the adverse reaction to the manufacturer. I think we just had a serious adverse reaction to a flea product. We're seldom bothered with fleas and it was the first time we used this brand . My vet spoke with the mfr. this week and they indicated they've never had any reports of this particular reaction. |
Definitely vet. He might need antihistamines or corticosteroids to settle things quickly.
Poor baby. Hope he's feeling better soon. I get eczema myself so I'm already scratching in sympathy. |
