Now before anyone jumps to conclusions and starts their crap (yes, I do mean crap) of suggesting that I take him in myself let me clarify something. I am not in the market for another dog at this time for a variety of reasons which I continually make blatantly clear to everyone. Plus I would love to see Otis in a home where he gets undivided attention - something I think he could benefit from so his wonderful personality could bloom without the interference of another dog. So if anyone knows of someone looking to adopt a rescue I would be glad to put in a good word for my boy Otis. Oh and give my opinion if the adoptive family is worthy of him. |

How sweet! Otis sure has come a long way! Way to go Dawn and doggie trainer Chewie! |
Thanks Judi and Kathy!
Otis is doing so well - I am so proud of him. He has been with us for about 2 months and he handled the whole weekend - all the driving, hotel, crowds of people and dogs like he has been doing this his entire life...... I am waiting for more than a good home - I want one where he can be someone's loved family member and have a ball! BTW he loves playing ball, fetch and any mental game you can devise He is not hyper, but active (he's 3) and a love bug. He has insecurities with being made to do things that he perceives as scary, but has improved unbelievably in the time he has been with us. and we found out he is not scared of fireworks or other VERY loud noises, thanks to whoever shot off loud explosisves while we were eating outdoors Saturday evening.... Several dogs had a perfectly nice evening ruined by whoever did that. Customers inside the restaurant said they felt it - that's how bad it was. Thanks Judi for the Otis plug!!! |
