We're adopting Archie from the Texas OES rescue. He's about two years old. After speaking with his foster mom (who is great by the way), we believe that he will be a good balance for our boy, Duncan. According to her, the new dog is very outgoing, bouncy, but shy ---- for about 30 minutes. It looks like he might have blue eyes which is fine for us. He's neutered and if he wasn't we wouldn't breed him anyway. We will be changing his name to Arthur and will be adopting him on Saturday. We're very happy and excited about adopting Arthur and that we will have our two boys. |

Yay, congrats!!! Can't wait to see pictures of the new brothers! |
Congrats on adopting Arthur. I hope you have many happy years with him. I will look forward to seeing pics. |
I think Arthur will be a great addition to your family! Duncan is most likely a lot like Lucy in regards that he is very dependent on another dog. Can't wait to see pics! |
Congrats on your new family member
I hope it all goes well Saturday, and we need lots of pictures of Duncan and Arthur. |

Woo hoo! Congrats! What's that, 10 now? Or just seems like it?
Enjoy! I look forward to Arthur's Antics stories. |
Congrats! That is so exciting. I saw Archie/Arthur pics and read his story on the rescue site |
I posted a picture of Arthur that his mom posted on the OES rescue board. I don't know how to stick it in here, but if you click on my camera you can see the pretty boy.
BTW, he does have two sky blue eyes! |

After all the advice I read on the board, it was clear to me that Duncan needed a companion. And, it makes sense, knowing his history. We know that he was surrounded by dogs at the puppy mill (many of them his own puppies), and I know that his foster dad had sheepies. So, all of his life he related to other creatures who looked like him. So, here he is with us and two Maine Coon Cats. He's getting a lot better, but he still has issues with dogs barking at him and things like that. I just think that having a dog -- particularly a sweetie like Arthur is going to make a world of difference for Duncan. And, I know that we have more than enough love to share. We adore sheepies! |
He's a fine looking boy and I he and Duncan can work out their issues together. May they become best buddies and face chew on one another for hours at a time. It is very relaxing for both. |
i saw him on texas rescue what a cutie |
