As I'm cruising the site I come across a link for big dogs only. http://www.bigpawsonly.com/ Scroll down about 1/3 of the page and there is a great Sheepie photo. Somehow, I don't think of my Sheep's as BIG DOGS. |

Ther eis a HUGE difference in size in Sheepdogs - Kristine knows I was a little taken a back this weekend when someone asked if Miss Marley was a miniature sheepdog. But any dog over 90 pound son average is probably considered Big - not Huge just big.
And dock diving - very cool. We are hoping to take Morgan and Beowulf to try it out next month at a demo (well I am, not sure Dan is really on board yet). |
i know what you mean about not thinking of them as big einy is only small fora boy he not quite 70 lbs and i'm sure the german shepherd we had as kids was bigger
but people say to you oh hes huge and i'm thinking not hes not i've seen much bigger. zoe and einy |
That does it, no more t-shirts for my guys, it's oxford button downs and ties for the boys, we'll see about the girls. Getting injured should not mean wearing Dad's old t-shirts anymore. |
I used to belong to the Big Paws only group on Yahoo (which is/was affiliated with that site). Talk about major fighting and drama with that group. It was like a soap opera. There was very little dog talk, just a bunch of fighting and whining!
Dock diving is a big deal in Michigan, presumably because of all the water. At our annual Pet Expo, the local dock diving group brings out their pool and dock to a local park and holds competitions. It's fun to watch. I think Owen would be good at it but he's not getting a whack at it until he finishes! |
People at the park used to say our dalmo was big. Then we got Tiggy, now they think Tig is big and Rastus is medium sized.
I dont think Tiggy is big especially around some of the big boys at OES obedience, she's only 28 kg (pds???) and quite slim. Twice in the last 2 weeks little boys have yelled out about the fat dog when we've been out walking. I'll have to stop brushing her she's all long and fluffy and people assume that its fat not fur. Its all relative! Next to Axel, the mastiff at our park Tiggy is positively petite |
