To the Seamstresses Out There...Glider Cushions
I purchased my friend's top of the line Dutalier glider chair for $200, but the cushions are yellow gingham and really dirty. I'm just hoping for a simple plain sage or olive green fabric. To order from Dutalier they will cost $200-300

i've seen covers in places like burlington coat factory for gliders, the one my friend has lent me needs a cover too its cream and i can see it getting really dirty. i'm going to sew some up on my machine, when i've finished fiddling about with my other sewing (cloths, diapers etc) making new covers for it would not be a problem (tho unfortunatly at 33 wks myself i don't have the time and my son only have a week of school left before summer) but it might be easier for you to find some one close to you to make them as it would be very difficult without the actuall cushions to fit them too. i've made covers for a whole patio set before and fitting them to the cushion really is the only way to get a perfect fit. i'm sorry i can't be more help. if i could sit at my machine for more than a few minutes i would happily give it a go. zoe and einy |
