Share brand name and model? It's a horrible battle here with horses around and natural desert climate. Dogs don't help. |
its a Flair, Model 50510 black. Cost about 265.00 I use to work in plumbing and heating so I know its a good brand. It is the size a a bookself speaker. There are larger ones if you need one. Like I said it will get rid of the soot about 1/3 or more. I also am breathing much better.
After the first day the filter was full, but all you have to do is wash it. |
We have hepa filter installed on each of our furnace/AC units. The filters are supposed to be changed every 6 months or so, but it can be a little sooner depending on the weather, dust and pollen. Needing to dust more than once a week is a good indication the filter needs changing.
We've tried a variety of other filters with little success. |
Yes, I have the HEPA filters too but still fight a big battle. The filters only work when the furnace is running. We don't have AC, rather evaporative cooling. Thanks for the info, even if I only "clean" one room, it will be where I sleep or where I work. |
I was dusting twice a day. Now every other day. |

We called them swamp coolers when was growing up. We had them when we lived in Albuquerque - and the bills in the summer were awesome. /it was hard for my kids to make the switch from close the doors to leave them open a bit. |
