You try to tell them that 90% of the time, they are just laying around. Non-believers, as they come over and see them all greeting them like a swirling mass No really, they are low key, we have to step around them...... So, today I was sitting at the table, and see the usual sprawled bodies....I tiptoe over to my purse to grab the camera, tiptoe back.... and I got 4 of them - Maggie basking in front of the stove, Simon off to the left, then foster Otis, and Chewie out laying on the porch's cool cement (it is a broiling 60 degrees out today! ) Then Todd came in and they all scattered. I kept working (on my Sheepiepalooza entries, actually) and they all crashed again. This time Riley joined the bunch. Note - Chewie never moved Otis and Simon next to me by the table, Riley peeking out from the table, Maggie sprawled in front of the corn stove, and Chewie chilling on the porch. Tazz is napping in his crate -out of sight. |

dawn great photos- they actually all (cept for Chewie) look like they are laying around the woodstove looking for some HEAT! |
I would love to live at your house the more the merrier - you are very lucky |
hmmm, I see you have the same rug pattern as I do! I really appreciate when they sleep in the hall at night making the run to the bathroom a track and field event....hurdles. |

Love your pics. It is so "calming" to have all the dogs laying around like rugs. |
Yep, I have the same thing going on here too. Except with only 3. |
You really need to do something about Chewie's hyperactivity.
Great pictures. |
Great photos and I totally get what you mean about the jeckle and hyde personalities. Big hairy rugs until visitors come and then pandemonium. |

Great pictures. Perhaps you should get him involved in more activities... |

I don't think he's a slug....I prefer to think he just budgets his energy wisely! And we had an interesting thing happen last night at class. I had just finished teaching my beginner class, and went out to the lobby to show someone a collar on the sales rack. Chewie was still in a down in the middle of the training center. I came back into a mess! When I'm teaching,I always have Chewie in a down, and set my attendance sheets, a pen, the class handouts for that week and my cup of cappucino next to him. Well, the new class comes in, and two kids and their rat terrier go over to see Chewie "the living rug" . They didn't see the cappucino, and they knocked it over - all over my papers, the pen, and right up to Chewie's paws. Bless his heart, he never even moved! Our helper Julie was just in stitches, laughing as she is mopping up the sticky mess..... My papers were ruined, but Chewie was clean... it actually reminded me of the picture of Shon's Obe laying with one toe next to the mud on their driveway - just a river of cappucino instead! |
