I just got a new Puppy!
I showed sheepies about 20 years ago and finished several champions. I then got out of it, due to my son's need for oodles of surgeries (he is 20 and fine today). I went back to my dear friends who I showed with and got a very cute puupy. Her mom won an Award of Merit at the Nationals this last fall and her grampa and Great-grampa won BOB at the Nationals. | Welcome to the forum. I'm not sure if you mean your pup looks nothing like ours "because" it is black and white, but all oes are black and white as pups and the black turns to gray as they mature.
Where are you located? Where did you get your pup? What is the pups' name? I can't wait to see pics!  |

I'm also curious about what you meant about your pup not being like ours. If it's because it's black and not gray, then you just gotta be patient, yours will too. Post some pics... It's easy!! If you have trouble, I'll be more than happy to lend you a hand. |
| Actually I was reading the post regarding a kennel that claims to only breed a few breeds but actually breeds a lot of different breeds. I went to the site listed on the post and saw their OES - mine looks nothing like those. By this I meant conformation-wise. I know OES are born black and white and turn grey.......

I also just got a new OES puppy Beau, short for Beaumont. He's a cutey pie.  Now my rescue, Mollie, will have someone her own size to play with.
Beau will be 11 weeks old tomorrow. He is growing everyday! I would love to post his picture, but it didn't take. Any suggestions? Karen, Mollie and Beau |
| Oops, I forgot to answer a few questions.
My girl's registered name is SnowDowne Angel of the Morning. But we call her Friendly. We named her Friendly becuase my last sheepdog from 20 years ago was named Barclay Friendly Nature! So we are picking up where we left off at. She is out of SnowDowne (obviously), Cotswold, Bugaboo and Brightcut lines. She goes back to some of the dogs I showed 20 years ago! I live in the greater Seattle area, actually a condo in Kirkland and a ranch in Eastern Washington. I have a son that is a junior at the University of Washington, and my husband of 25 years this coming April! I passionately love OES - there is just no other breed that compares - especially in personality! Thanks for welcoming me, and if I can figure out how ot post pictures I will. |

| I think that it would be interesting to see if there are any noticeable differences in your new dog from your last dogs, since they are from the same line. Could you post some old pics and some new pics (as your pup develops) so we could compare? If you need help, let me know.
Also, nice to see someone from rainy old Washington here. I was born out there and half my family still lives around Tacoma. Welcome aboard! |
