WE DID IT!!!!!

We did it! :excited: A total team effort amongst me, Cathy & Olivia! Olivia went Winners Bitch & Best of Winners today to pick up a 5pt. major! :yay: Yes, Kristine.........it's "whatdoyoumeanIneedtokeep4feetonthegroundfor5minutes" Olivia! After acting like she wasn't even lead broke a week ago Sunday for me in the ring, she acted like a seasoned pro in the ring today for Cathy!

And I think Jill has some news to tell too!

Congratulations! Olivia looked wonderful :)
Thanks Holly! It was a long trip home with the rain & all but I managed to find a McDonald's to stop at & get her an ice cream cone. The 1st one I stopped at ......their ice cream machine was out of order!!! :x :x :x
Wow!
Congratulations. :high5:
Congratulations :clappurple:
Olivia looked beautiful yesterday. As soon as she started moving, I knew she had it!

Our news pales in comparison! Owen won his 9-12 class and I went on to ruin his stack during Winner's Dog, stretching him out and, essentially, losing it for him. :( But, now I learned what not to do and we'll do better next time.

You see.....that's the important thing! That you learn something new each time. We all make the same mistakes everytime we start out with a new dog. Winning your class over 2 other very nice 9-12 puppy dogs is no easy feat! I wish I had been winning my class as soon as you were....when I started out over a decade ago! Keep up the good work! I love working with a willing student!
Congratulations!!
Congrats to all! :) :clappurple:
That is great news for all of you!

Congrats to Marilyn, Cathy, Olivia, Jill and "little" Owen on your good winnings!!

:cheer: :go: :cheer: :go: :cheer: :go: :cheer:
Congratulations guys.
Very well done!!!! :clappurple:
Congrats to all of you!
Wonderful weekend!
Here's Olivia's picture from her 1st major on April 4th of this year. I wasn't real happy with the way her head looked in this picture. Hopefully the picture from her 2nd major on April 25th (3 weeks later) will look better. But at least she has 4 feet on the floor for the picture!

Marilyn, that's fantastic!!!!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!

I can't believe you even have majors, let along five pointers!!! I don't think I've seen one of those even at a specialty except for a national in a couple of years. We can barely get even points to hold right now. Amazing!

You must feel so relieved to have the hard part over with :D :yay: :go:

Not necessarily, kiddo. Good lesson learned, of course, but judges can be nice about that kind of thing. Ask Marilyn about the judge in Syracuse who had a nice "discussion" with my bitch where he informed me "from her" that this is a square breed and would I please stop stretching her out when I stack her  Worse, I had a breeder judge tell me the same thing a few years earlier at a specialty when I was showing her mother (so evidently I'm NOT a good student!!!  8)   )

It happens. I find it hard to "see" the dog when I'm that on top of them and setting them up. It gets better though. Usually. Unless you're me

Nice work!!! You'll start picking up points any day now 8)

Yes, getting both her majors within 3 weeks of each other is almost as good as finishing her. If we didn't get them by Memorial Day we probably wouldn't see any more available until late August maybe or into the Fall. So yes, Cathy & I are very relieved. The finish line is in sight! :cheer:

I forgot about Booxbaum speaking for your girl! That was so funny. And that's what I try tell the new people. Every dog you show is different & you need to adjust handling techniques per dog.
Congratulations to you all.

That's so odd. Around here (WI/MN/IL) we have majors (usually) surrounding the specialties only, so June-July, some times a major or two in August if we're lucky, and few people showing outside of that. I didn't even know people showed during "snow season"   We usually stop in November and start again in April unless you're willing to travel and the rest just hibernate. I think you guys have the right idea: show when it ISN'T 100 degrees out 8O I wish someone around here would think of that

Again, very cool and congratulations! :D
