We're much further south (Myrtle Beach, SC) but there are usually restrictions most places on bringing dogs onto the beach. In MB, between May and September, dogs are only allowed on the beach between 5 p.m. and 8 a.m. and must be on a leash.
We did enjoy being there in March (other than it being freezing cold) when there were no time restrictions. Shhhhhhhhh.... we did sneak out in the middle of the night to run off-leash a few times. Nelson generally avoids the ocean since he got a snout full of salt water when he was a pup. |
isn't there a website that dos this? Yep:
http://www.petfriendlytravel.com/?page=dog_beaches#Pennsylvania There is one off leash beach in NJ and a number of on leash beaches in both States. Now I know of beaches in Florida that are considered on leash beaches and I also know a number of times I have been there and some very well behaved dogs were off leash - didn't seem to raise any issues. I am actually planning a road trip to Florida this summer in order to take the dogs to the beach. I really don't get why my daughter calls me a crazy dog lady....... |
