You may not believe this, but this yarn started out as beige. I went to a wool dyeing workshop in the Russian River area over the weekend and I painted hanks of wool. Some reds and some others that started out in a grey/green shade, I dyed greens, blues... also really pretty. close up of the lace stitch detail. This is fairly simple stitch to do with yarn overs and Knit two together.... this is much the same as the first, just a little clearer. I love the colors, the yarn on the other hand is pretty rough, but okay for an outside sweater. |

That is so cool!!!
I'm glad it turned out, after all the work dyeing the yarn and all. I'll have to go check out the finished product. |
Looks good! |
My word but you are a patient soul. I don't know how you do it!! It's beautiful! |
That's beautiful ! I'm just re-learning how to knit ..I made an aran pram blanket, whilst pregnant with my now 22 year old daughter , under the guidance of our neighbour and haven't made anything since ! I've just started knitting squares in different stitch patterns that will hopefully make a throw when they are finished

I've done that sweater a couple times and love it. Here is a hint (if you haven't done lace before) place stitch marker every 2 or 3 repeats of the patter, you will fine it helps you stay on track. I tried to do my first without stitch markers and it was a disaster. |
