Hi, She escaped from the Pet Vet in Huntley, IL by 47 and 62. We saturated the area with flyers and now people are chasing her to capture her not realizing that she is terrified! So she runs. We are afraid that people will chase her off. We haven't had any sightings of her since about 10pm last night. We hope the trap works. We did start putting out a little food for her outside of the trap so she would stay in the area. Do you have any experience with trapping animals? Since it is Greek Easter today, I'm putting gyros meat in the trap today - hope it will be stinky enough for her go inside the crate! If you know anyone in the area, please have them keep an eye out, and if you see her, call 847-217-8096. A bit more info: she is 2 yrs old, red and white, has a purple martingale collar on. |

Yikes! My worst nightmare
Traps do work. Hope they catch her. Kristine |
Oh my. What a frightening situation. I hope the trap works. |
No news yet....... |
Oh no, I hope they find her |
Poor baby. She must be so scared.
I agree with Kristine, traps do work. In the past, we've covered the trap with a tarp and baited it with something smelly/tasty. Even the animal control traps we had borrowed in the past were covered with an olive green canvas. I hope she's found soon. |
It is covered with a tarp (good thing, d/t the rain weather there the past couple days), straw bales around it and stocked with fresh food to tempt her. Also white towels to get footprints in front to see if it is her (vs a raccoon or cat, etc.) eating the snacks outside the trap to lure her in.
Oh, and her name is Eleanor |
Oh, I hope she is found safe and sound. What a horrible situation. Keep us posted! |
