1. How do you apply it? 2. When do you apply it? Thanks in advance. |

Try using a waterless shampoo such as Self Rinse Plus around his face if it's brown from dirt. Then apply the cornstarch from a shaker bottle or apply with a soft brush. Let it dry really well and brush out. I've used cornstarch baby powder but HATE the scent.
If you don't get the cornstarch brushed out before your dog hits the water bowl, you've got a mess. A dish full of starchy water and the possibility of slinging starchy water around your house. If the brown around his face is just stained, a whitening shampoo or gel may help clean it up some. Some foods cause discoloration so you may need to change his diet. I've only seen a couple OES that have had really white faces. |

I pour it into my hands and apply it to their beard like I do mouse or gel into my own hair. Just sort of rub it into the hair, wait for it to dry and then brush it out good. Nita's right, you don't want them getting their beards wet while the cornstarch is still in there. Ugh. |
I wouldn't use cornstarch for the stain, it just hides it and maybe does some good for keeping it drier, but I would just use a whitening shampoo, something with a blue tint to it to remove the stain and blow dry. |
