HOW WAS YOUR EASTER SUNDAY?

We were alone so I did not cook my roast. I did do loin lamb chops.
Watched TV and did laundry.
Quiet day....

Very nice day--both children were home and attended church with us--had a nice lunch and spent the afternoon watching the Masters. Went to playoff to break a tie--
Now relaxing with hubby and the boys watching a movie!
Great Day!
Zach and I went to Canada to watch Gabe (he got Group 1 each day of the show) and then got stuck in the tunnel because of the traffic backup. Made the boys a nice dinner of boneless chicken, sweet potatoes, carrots and apples cooked all day in the slow cooker with apple juice. I had Cheerios :D
Just wonderful. Church with the family-- Mom's for lunch. Easter Egg hunt--- Family trivia game-- AND a FULL belly made for a great Easter!

Funny story. My little niece Alayna wanted me to pick her up. I was standing at the sink washing dishes at the time. I said "Hang on baby, Buckie's hannies ( hands) are wet". She said ( so serious) "Awe did you pee pee" ? Took us a minute to realize she thought I said "Panties" instead of "hannies"
Palm Sunday in the Orthodox church. Spent yesterday baking 37 cakes, icing, decorating, etc plus prep for today. Today started off burning myself on one of the ovens.........again. Ended up, just as we finished plating the last of 200 fish dinners, the pan fell to the floor drenching me from head to toe, including a fair amount down the blouse, of fish/oil/lemon juice and lots of garlic. I was very popular when I got out of the car. Dogs did a cursory greeting until they caught a wiff and then were very, very interested in me. Glacier wanted my shoes!
I look after a 100 yr old woman for Catholic Charities and, instead of spending the day with family I went downtown and spent the afternoon with her. Her family has abandoned her (for unknown reasons) so I visit her every week to make sure all is well. She does not suffer from dementia nor any other memory problems, but is almost deaf and blind. She loves my company, it gives her a feeling of security. She is also desperately poor so I help out with some menial expenses. I came home and fixed some wheat pasta with fresh asparagus, onions, and shrimp - it was delicious. So it was a good Easter for me.
Sheeoie@ what a wouderful thing to do.!!!!!! I use to manty yrs ago take care of my 96 yr old neighbor. I loved the stories she told of the hourse and buggie days. That was 25 yrs ago.

My hat goes off to you. BLESS YOU......
We went to church and then had my son/girlfriend over for Brunch. After they left we went to Home Depot and bought the stuff to make a "jump" for Agility. Asia is in the Agility I class through suzieptcruize and needed some encouragement with the higher jump. Once hubby put the "jump" together...it didn't take long for Asia to be jumping on command without her "lead" on. I was working with China also...who I want to start next term.....she was so funny. I don't encourage Violet to jump since she has HD, but we did play and make up games for her outside as well. We had a lot of fun with the girls.

Fun relaxing day.
It was my birthday, So into Firenze for an easter tradition with a small parade. then lunch which was brucchetta, pasta, then strawberries with lemon and sugar, then shopping. Went back home on msn messenger vidio calls to my daughters and grandchildren. fab day.

I'd be sick of cake and food after making so much!!!!!!!!!! ...and I feel for anyone who has to smell like FISH ...and then mixed in with garlic. Yuck. I think the microwaves rules for work should always include "YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO HEAT UP FISH."
I spent Easter at an agility seminar in WI :D

Great Photo! Don't you just wonder, from their expression what they are thinking? 8O
I spent Good Friday (after work) picking up a 4 month old rescue puppy (sweet as could be), keeping her overnight & transporting her to her new owners on Sat. What a nice Easter present they got...a day early. And Jim & I had the fun of playing with a puppy for an evening. :D

My son came up from Cincinnati for the weekend. He was dog sitting & brought Dog along. I kid you not....that is his name! Dog! He was a Heinz 57 & great houseguest (the dog that is!). Other son that lives nearby came over & they helped their dad finish putting the new vinyl siding on the house. Now THAT was a very nice Easter present! We went over to my son's house at lunch time for baked ham sandwiches etc.

Sort of a busy weekend in many ways but I felt good about it as so much was accomplished in so many areas. Except for the looks I got my my dogs 8O . Everytime they turned around a different "dog guest" was here & that cut into their time with me. This week is back to a more normal pace.
Picture of the rescue pup that spent Good Friday & overnight with us. She found the toy basket immediately. And she also found Mariah immediately! All the visitors gravitate towards Mariah. I am going to be lost without her one of these years! She makes my job of newcomers & visitors so much easier. :)

Oh, what a cute baby. :D

Congrats on the new siding too!
I spent the most wonderful fantastic Passover dinner with Wendy and her family and extended family in Palmdale!! I got to see Bella (Carmella) and she was soooooooooo good and soooooooo happy to see me!

Wendy said she wiggled her bottom so much from side to side the pee was flying! lol........ bless her heart.

Wonderful time. I learned about the dinner and tradition and how wonderful this time of the year is. Gives one of any religion or not, time to pause and think of how blessed we all are to have THIS OES family too!

Thanks again Wendy!

And to top it off........... you know what made it even more wonderful? Bella didn't even want to come home with me. THAT is when you know you have put a dog in the RIGHT home and they are happy as a breeder!!
LOL...yes, she loves her new mommy so much I step on her all the time. She was really happy to see you though. Definately not forgotten.
