1st, we put a 3 point major on Olivia this weekend. Some of you have seen Olivia in action & know what a challenge she has been for Cathy & me. She lives down near me so I do her grooming & training (if you can call it that ) & handle her mostly. Last weekend & this weekend I had Cathy handle her 1/2 of the shows & I did the other 1/2. Yesterday when Cathy was handling her she beat out 6 other bitches to pick up one of her majors. Needless to say, both Cathy & I were estatic. So she is 1/2 way to her CH! My 2nd brag is about a "newer" owner handler out there that has a dog named Owen from Cathy & me. Jill has been listening to all the tidbits we have been throwing at her & working very hard on her handling skllis. I was so tickled to see her take longer strides this weekend! What a difference in Owen's movement it made! She had the biggest smile on her face when when she looked at me outside the ring from the 1st place spot! I thought for a minute her face was going to split open! It is so nice to see a newcomer not only enjoy handling their own dog but also listening to advice so well & working so hard to improve! Before you know it, she's going to be waving a purple ribbon at me! |

Congratulations on Olivia's win It's always fun to see people you know get the points!
And Jill did another great job with Owen, his movement was wonderful. |
Congrats on Olivia's win!

Big Congrats on Olivias Win WOO HOO.
And also for Jill and Owen too. So happy for them both as well, glad Jill is listening to you and taking note and learning, keep the whip going and keep her in line too she can be one tough girl , Owen is adorable and look so forward to hearing how Jill and Owen progress. CRACK hear that whip Jill? Behave, take note and keep on keeping on with a great mentor & handsome Owen. Looking forward to piccys too of Olivia and Owen from the show. |
Gee, Lisa! I think Jill is lucky she has Marilyn and Kathy to mentor her as I've never seen them carry whips!!! If she gets out of hand they can always send her downunder so you can straighten her out for them.
Seriously, congratulations on both counts, Marilyn. Having met Ms Olivia - whatdoyoumeanIneedtokeepallfourfeetonthegroundonoccasion - I'm doubly impressed! And with Jill & Owen as well. Lovely work all around! Kristine |
Congrats! |

She had the whip out alright Lisa far too nice for offering anything but dairy whip Congratulations to Olivia and Owen and their respective uprights. |
WOW-- everyone had such a great weekend!!!
|
Thanks for all the congrats! It's always a team effort with us (Cathy & me). I don't know what I'd do without her trimming skills & other talents too. It's nice to see the newbies (younger ones too!!!!!) learning to groom so nicely & learning the ropes of the shows. We all had a good time, dogs included, & that's the most important part! |
Congrats! |
WOW~~~ What a great weekend for everyone!!!!!
CONGRATS....ALL AROUND!!!!!!! |

I'm excited for Jill & Owen, too. |
Congrats! |
Aw, thanks! It was fun. It's nice to see that we're improving. It's a good feeling to see it pay off.
If Owen keeps winning, though, I'll have to stop giving him hamburgers as rewards or he'll be a huge fatty like another dog I know. |

You need to switch to "fat -free" vanilla custard!!!! Just ask my dogs! And ask Pippin (although he's a tad overweight right now but NOT from ice ceeam)! They like it as well as (if not better than) hamburgers! Melody started the idea with me bribing her that if she behaved & got her 1st leg in obedience I'd get her an ice cream cone. She wasted no time in qualifying that day & went home to tell all the others what they had to do to get ice cream! |
Congratulations to all of you!!!!!!
I am most impressed with Jill following instructions though - somebody needs to buy her an ice cream cone. |
