The same as it is in all AKC events that offer novice A and B. Novice A is for anyone who has never titled a dog, any dog, in AKC rally (or obedience) I.e. Val had Heart in Novice A. Once she titled Heart, she can no longer do rally Novice A EVER AGAIN. Which is why Pearl, her next dog, is in Novice B. She can still enter agility and obedience Novice A with her first dog though when she gets that far. Short version: Morgan belongs in Novice A. You are entitled to enter Novice B, but then you have to compete with people with more experience than you. They give newbies a break and you only have to compete with other newbies. The leg is the same, the course is the same, the requirements are the same but you are only scored against other Novice A people for the sake of ribbons. Take advantage of it. Judges are always extra nice to Novice A people in terms of answering questions and so on. They'll still score you the same (mostly), but they cut you a little more slack in terms of expecting you to know all the ins and out of ring procedure and so on and also are very understanding if you turn out to be one of those Novice A nervous nelly people.
