We had a massive storm last night and our backyard turned into a river, whilst our front yard became a nice new swimming pool. I found our front door mat out on our neighbours footpath. Thankfully the water didn't get high enough to go through the house and all of our trees stayed up (the school across the road wasn't so lucky) but it's pretty disgusting now since we've had no proper rain for months, so all that loose dirt has left inches of mud everywhere.... Bally's having a blast It never rains but pours, huh? |

The ground it too dry to take up moisture quickly. Well, I'm glad you are getting rain now, just sorry is it coming all at once! |
Glad to hear your house escaped damage.
A nice, muddy sheepie, lovely!!! |
All dry here we are built into the side of a hill so it would have to be a Noahs Ark flood to swamp us.
Actually glad to see the big dump of rain WOO HOO bring on some more we still need it. Glad you did not get it in the house, so Bally is loving the oozey gooey mud outside? Who gets the fun job of de-mudding & cleaning up the fuzz ball? Mine have had booties on yesterday and today to go outside to potty |
Absolutely bone dry here. Worst than an S.A. traveler in the state of Vic and only VB available!!! We are shrivelling up. I thought it would rain yest but nope!! very disappointed!! If you have any push with those who count, could you maybe open a weir or two and give us some #### water ( I don't know how to do swear words yet !). We're drying up down here yu know!! It's like the Todd, we're swimming in mud!! |
Yep, I'm the lucky puppy cleaner I took Bally outside for a wee and in the millisecond that I was distracted he managed to dig a hole to China in the mud... that one was fun.
I think that was our rain for the year - the storm only lasted 15 minutes! It's all turned back to dust now so whenever a car goes past our house all we're surrounded in a nice brown cloud |
