Adding another OES

We did just the opposite- we added a then 12 mth old with our 5 yr. old. Sure their was (and still is to some extent) some bickering. If you have the chance, introduce the dogs first and let them play. We were Gracie's (the 5 yr. old) 3rd home so she was used to new things and had lived with other dogs before. We had also only had her 9 mths before getting the 2nd one. He was a pound puppy so NO manners what so ever! It caused problems for us in the beginning, but he has learned to respect gracie's space and improves everyday. I really think it just depends on the personality of the dogs. If they are both alpha dogs, it may not be a good idea, but if not- it's twice the sheepie love!
