Rosy needs a new home ASAP

It is with heavy heart that I must post this. My parents own 2 OES, Rosy 3 1/2 yrs and Lily 1 1/2 yrs.
Pretty much since they have had Lily my mother has been, in her words, "tortured" by the dogs. My dad is in love with both dogs and has never wanted to "get rid" of either of them.

But my mother is much louder and more demanding than my dad and she has finally won the war. And believe me it was a true war. They have been fighting about the dogs all along.

They have finally "agreed" to put Rosy in a new home. This really upsets me. I don't understand their decision. I think you make a commitment when you bring a dog into your family.

Although, neither of my parents are what you might call dog people. They (the dogs) didn't really get much exercise. Ocassionaly my dad would take them to the dog park, but never never any walks.

Rules, there are no stinking rules. Rosy and Lily jump on company. Rosy has even snapped at a few family members. Honestly, I don't think she would act this way with a little structure and routine in her life.

Rosy is a very sweet girl. She is overweight and can still jump 5 feet in the air. She is spayed and UTD on shots. She does tend to have a sensitive tummy. And she is the QUEEN of giving kisses. She has a dry mouth/chin, woohoo!!!

I already have 3 sheepies and as much as I love Rosy I just can't have another big dog right now. So I am looking to my fellow OES lovers to help me find the perfect home for Rosy. Preferably with no small children. I have no idea how she would be with cats. She has never seen one. I can help with transportation. Whatever I need to do to get her in the right home.

This is very sad to me. I hope someone needs a new fluffy butt to scratch. BTW, I will take Rosy if we don't find a home soon, but I will still be looking for her perfect family.

Darn, I know a family looking now but they have children.

I am so sorry for Rosy! I hope someone here can help!
I am sure someone here will be able to help, seems a kot of people are looking. Try not to let this interfere with your relationship with your parents. Its their issue.
Ok here is a pic of Rosy and Lily.

Rosy is the shorter chubbette on the left and Lily on the right.

oh she is beautiful!
She really is such a cutie. My folks have taken her and Lil to the groomers pretty regularly, about every 6 weeks or so. Neither one has much of and under coat.

I absolutley needed to share all of Rosy's faults, that I am aware of. But she is such a sweet heart. She loves to cuddle.

And the kisses are so cute. She will lean into you and lick air if she can't get her chubby little head close enough for full contact.

Rosy's muzzle is shorter than Lil's and my dogs. Which I think makes her look more puppy-like.
Oh, Wendy. I'm so sorry! Have you contacted Chicagoland OES Rescue yet?
Ahh, that's terrible. How did they ever decide which girl to rehome?

They probably picked the one that ate the most.

I wish I could help. I have too many fat dogs already.
She looks so much like my Lacy. :(
I have not contacted Chicgoland rescue yet. I was hoping to find her a home myself. But I'm only giving myself a few weeks. After that I think the rescue group could do a better job of evaluating her needs and find the perfect match for her.

It's weird, I don't know how they decided which dog. For the longest time my mother would get me to herself and try to get me to TAKE Lily. Of course I know how much my father loves both dogs so I didn't do anything. At one point they gave Lily to me. My dad wanted her back.

This has been an extremely sensitive subjuct between my parents and me. I have never in my life seen them fight over something so strongly. My mom has won!!

I think the main reason they have decided on Rosy is because they have several small grandchildren. I think they are afraid Rosy will bite one of them. Or at least that is what my mom's biggest argument is.

The absolute saddest part of all of this is Rosy and Lily have always lived together. I think Rosy might need another sheepie buddy or at least another dog friend. They are going to miss each other.
This is so sad :( Poor Rosy and Lilly. I hope you find her a loving new home!
Sure wish I lived closer :?
Hey Wendy....Any updates on Rosy?
My parents are so weird. My mother wanted her "re-homed" not less than immediatley. Rosy is still at home with my parents. I should only visit those people on holidays. I just don't understand them.
