Chewie's new title - UWP
We had done one other UKC pull weekend last summer. They are like AKC and other performance venues for their titling - you need 3 qualifying scores to title. For weight pulls, a qualifying pull is 8 times the dog's weight. So, we just needed one more qualifying pull. Saturday wasn't his best, but he still easily qualified. He pulled 980#, which is 13 times his weight (75#). On Sunday he had his game on! and he pulled 1250#, which is 16.7 times his weight. They had a photographer there, and we got some pictures: Awards - 2 Qualifying ribbons and one 3rd place

We all had a great time. Some people we hadn't seen all winter. Also, we had a super potluck as usual and thoroughly stuffed ourselves.  |

I think they are distantly related. But, they are both Donna's - the one pictured in the pink shirt with Guinness. |

NADSR - WP1 (Weight Pull 1 title - for pulling at least 20 times his weight) UKC - UWP (United Weight Puller) and he is a UKC Show Champion. AKC - 3 Rally titles - RN, RA, RE Also his CGC, and TDI therapy dog In progress - AKC -almost finished as an AKC show CH, and about the same with his next rally title - RAE. One more leg for his AHBA HCT (herding) NADSR - Has 120 of the 125 points for his weight pull CH. ASCA - 1 leg towards his CD (obedience) Man, that dog is such a slacker.......  |
