i took boneless chicken breast, mixed yogurt and curry powder and tandori powder base and basted the chicken breast in them for a couple of hours, then baked 350 for 20 min. took out, mixed in more yogurt & sour cream to thicken and make more sauce. I get the new microwave pkgs of rice (1 min and done) in a jasmine cashew mix....... and pour'd the chicken and sauce over. Added extra cashews, raisin's, and some mango and apricot chutney........ Better than going to the local resturant! And cheaper too......... |

I love those microwavable rice packets... |
Oh, that sounds good. I love curry.
I wonder if I can get my traditional midwestern "meat and potatoes" husband to try it?? Where do you get the tandori powder base? and how does it come? I've never heard of that one. |
I usually go to an international shop and search the isles Dawn. If you want i'll send you some. ;0)
hmmmmmmmm now i remember a dish which was similar but had potatoes added to it too along with garbonza beans! Maybe try this one next week. |
That sounds good too.
We had one with potatoes once when we were out camping. An indian family had the camping spot next to us. They had never tent camped and brought their tent out, still in the box. I helped them set it up. Todd helped the ladies get their fire started. Then they proceeded to peel a whole bag of potatoes and make this thick stew that smelled heavenly. Heavy with curry and other spices. Then, they offered us each a heaping plate - it was sooooo good! |
