I do corned beef b/c we're going over to our neighbors and I'm bringing the meat (she has no idea how to make it), but I'm baking mine for 2.5 hrs in the oven. ...after putting brown sugar and a can of Guinness on it! Tried it 2 wks ago and absolutely loved it. |
I've never baked a corned beef. Only boiled it or put it in the crockpot. Since I will be working all day, I figured the crockpot was the way to go. |

My mom always made it in the pressure cooker too..... MMmmmm yum! |
I just looked up Mrs J's recipe for Cornbeef on the forum this weekend...the one with the Apricot Glaze. I'm making that tomorrow. |
oooooooooh, good! You'll love it! It didn't go w/my neighbors side dishes, which is why I had to find a new way this year! |
Mrs J..I wanted to thank you so much for the Cornbeef recipe. We had it yesterday to celebrate St. Patricks Day and it was so yummy. One of the best glazes I've ever had. My hubby loved it too...which is saying a lot..he is such a picky eater.
We won't wait for nest St Patrick's Day to have it again. |
My crockpot corned beef was wonderful! I did something different this year, and put (yellow) mustard on the corned beef while it cooked. It really added something! |
