A lot of hard work indeed.
That is awesome to hear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Congrats Judi and Harry!!!!! |
What a fine Rally weekend for the OES
Good job Harry and Judi!!!!! |
Thanks guys.
Val did a great job in the ring too - unfortunately Heart did not get the memo and was off wandering on the other side of the serpentine weaves. But Val was in top form and very confident. Chewie placed second at his rally trial too! I am not sure what leg it was of his RAE. |
Congratulations! I'm really happy for you both. I know you worked VERY hard for this. |

We all have been there, and the pupper has not..... Even Chewie, back when he was 1st starting out. I took it as a personal challenge to get his confidence and energy up, and it worked marvelously. + for Chewie it was RAE legs 5 and 6.+ |
Hey the point is to have fun an dbuild a better relationship with your dog - and maybe point out the training issues
Congrats to both Judy and Val and hugs to Heart and Harry |
WAY TO GO!! |
Thanks everyone....
Harry and Judi did a great job!!! I wish I had taken pictures of the way Harry was RIGHT there, watching Judi ....LISTENING..and doing every sign to near perfection.... When RALLY is done right...it is a sight to behold!!!! Heart and I just were not on the same page. However, I thought of the experience as a success!!! I knew what each sign meant...and I knew how to execute each sign.. so I felt like I succeeded which IMHO is more than half the battle. Up until that moment, every time I saw a sign I was totally confused as to which way to go....where to stop....how many times to sit...etc....so how could my poor Heart know what to do????? (After all, Harry hasn't taught her how to READ the signs like he seems to do.... ). With Judi's help, practice and guidance ---I know what has to be done. And it is all up to ME....practice and get Heart to watch and follow..so That is what I am doing...2 X a day... we'll see what happens on Sunday!!! Heart will compete in ADVANCE RALLY A for the 2nd time...and Pearl, will go into compete for the 1st time as NOVICE RALLY B... am I crazy or what?????? |

Of course it makes for an expensive class |

Just to add one more twist - now you have to remember which dog you have in the ring, and call them the right name...and get the right armband on as well. |

LOLOLOL Well said.... I DO have the option of taking Heart back down to Novice..I am not deciding that until I try it another couple of times. I want to wait until Sheepiepalooza and get all you experts to watch us and then let me know what I should do.... I really think she will 'get it'...she acts like a mushbrain most of the time...but then she does something to amaze me, like pawing the back door open or figuring out how to get paper towels off the counter... We'll see!!!!! |

I will be there to help with the armband problem. I suspect her dogs are used to being called by the wrong name and respond anyway. That is what me and my brothers did with my mom anyway. Sometimes she called us the dog's name. |
Congratulations everyone!!! Your hard work and dedication really shows!!!! |
WOW!!!! Congrats you guys; thats AWESOME!!! |
