Compliments to this board...
Recently I tried logging in on my cell phone. I use it for everything, and my web browser isn't the greatest, but it's there with me all the time, so it's nice to have. I was so surprised to find that this site comes up beautifully on my cell phone browser. The pictures all load, and I can even post from my phone. (This is not the case for most of the other sites I visit.) So, my sincerest compliments to Ron for not only running a fabulous place to visit, but by far, the most well put together site I've ever frequented. What a joy to be able to log in and participate EVERYWHERE I go. Thank you so much. |

The members are what makes this a great place. I just make the place available... usually.  The technology here is getting a little long in the tooth, but like you say with your kind words it is pretty functional.
I'd REALLY love to add video uploads to the site, but the cost is a little on the high side, probably $50 or $60 a month between software, storage (lots of gigabytes!) and hosting (needs horsepower!) and right now I don't know if the income from the ads that some visitors see will be high enough to sustain that, especially over the long term. 
If energy (electricity) costs rise substantially in the future, the cost of hosting will likely increase sharply. |
I agree 100%! I don't get to parouse the internet often, but when I have free time I find myself coming to this site to chat with others and read the posts....It's a wonderful site! Kudos to Ron  |
