I feel your pain  last night I baked anzac biscuits and Henry was by my side the entire night sitting and hi5-ing me for the smallest chance of crumbs  I did relent and give him a small biscuit. :D after he hung his head and looked like he was going to sulk forever!
Yeh George is the same with hobnobs, and homewheat too.

He hears the packet and I get "those eyes".
You people talk funny...What are HobNobs?

And homewheats?

And anzac biscuits?
No they don't talk funny..........it's their buscuits, think cookies, often eaten at tea time.

A HobNob is a brand of biscuit made from rolled oats and jumbo oats, similar to a flapjack/digestive biscuit hybrid. They are mainly sold in the United Kingdom. The biscuit can be dunked in tea without losing its shape. Invented by Julien Pike, the recipe was purchased by McVitie's who introduced the brand in Scotland in 1984. A milk chocolate-covered version was made available in 1987, and the biscuit is currently available in many varieties, including dark chocolate, chocolate orange, and HobNob bars. Other HobNob-branded snacks include a HobNob flapjack. [1]

They are also common in Spain, but named Avenas.

The original tagline of the HobNob was "one nibble and you're nobbled"[2] , although it has been removed from the Chocolate Orange varieties.

For awhile anzacs were available at our store. Didn't last. Didn't catch on with the hispanics here.

Jack discovered pretzels yesterday. I brought the leftovers home from a social function. He actually had the chew them, the curled shape couldn't be swallowed hole. Nice to hear a crunch instead of a gulp.
They are types of Biscuits!

HobNobs sounds delish, especially the chocolate coated ones. While we're talking UK food, what exactly are "digestive" biscuits? Are they sweet?
Sammy loves cheese and bacon rolls (well any sort of human food) when I get them from the bakery I have to buy one just for him 8O

At dinner time of a night he will sit beside one of my sons and wait to see what tid bits will fall off their plates

I'm sure Sammy thinks he's human 8O
moon ray love liver brownie and I'm shure he luve anything a human can eat. He is my moms garbage can even throw she said she doesn't give him people food but the stuff in his beard gives it away especail speghttii. and the meat balls, Can't leave the bowl on the table or he claims it. Don't turn your back for one second cuz it will be gone
Oh I LOVE chocolate Hobnobs. The ultimate dunking biscuit seeing as they are thicker than digestives and smaller, so they fit into your cup for optimum dunkability.

Archie is so funny.
Anzacs are made of rolled oats and I think golden syrup. The best ones are taken from the oven just before they are finished and allowed to cool. They have a chewy texture and one is never enough. The dogs occupy themselves for ages trying to get the glug from between their teeth. yum. I also hear they are good for you.

Oh, that would be worth making some for the kids. When I'm feeling evil, I give Jack a whole slice of bread with peanutbutter. The goo glues itself to the roof of his mouth and keeps him occupied for awhile. I've learned never to give him half a slice, it gets swallowed whole, no show for me.
Just to be wicked, in the past I have given my horse a spoonfull of peanut paste. Keep a video handy, it's sooo funny! You get gums waiving in the air and a whole lot of head shakin goin on!

They are sweet like an animal cracker, I think animal crackers are the same recipe as digestive biscuits just different shape. Often here 'digestive biscuits' are also 'baby biscuits' here and are the same shape. If you go to the baby food section of the grocery store you might be able to find digestive biscuits made by Heinz.
Sheepieboss here is a link about Anzac Biscuits and the reciepe, the dogs love them as well. :excited: Very traditional Aussie Bikkie you can share with yourself and the pooches.
