Thanks Ron! This is good to know - and it looks like the OESCA is making some changes to the process and clarifying it a little more.
If anyone has recently requested information from the former Breeder Referral person - you may want to email the new person (or call). Just a suggestion. Kristen |
Just wanted to say that the outgoing chair, Janet Loehr, was great in her role and I know has been helpful to all, including several people on this site.
Thanks for the good work. |

Thanks for the good work. I agree! This isn't an easy task and Tarja has big shoes to fill. Thanks Janet! Kristen (Thanks ElGato for pointing that out!) |

Thanks for the good work. Perhaps to some but not to all. I recall emailing her twice for referrals and not hearing back a word, and this goes back months now and yet, I never heard back from her. I felt a little put off by the whole situation to be honest. I'm not trying to cause any problems, I'm just stating how I felt I was treated. |
You're not the only one rollrxgirl... in several posts here I have referred people to contact the oesca for breeder referral, and then had recieved private emails saying they recieved no response or responses that made no sense whatsoever. |
Having found several emails incorrectly "dumped" by my Internet Provider (thinking they were SPAM) - I would be more apt to leave a phone # so they can contact you or call them (or carefully monitor your SPAM folders). Be persistent!
Just a suggestion... Kristen |
I had only positive dealings with her, after being patient for her response. But I also eventually followed up with a phone call.
I also believe this position has been in transition for the last few months. Non-paying position on top of a full time job, and having her own dogs, from my perspective the "thanks for the job you've done" was well deserved. |
We worked with Janet and she was and is outstanding she was always in touch with us and very pleasant to email with. We had a great relationship with her and she should be rewarded for all that did and still does for the breed. |
Thank you Ron for placing the Breeder Referral announcement in this awesome forum!
I am extremely excited to be a part of OESCA and was so delighted when the e-mail came letting me know that I had been voted in! I believe this is going to be a lot of fun, "meeting" OES lovers from all over and the joy of helping people find their OES. I realize this will have it's hectic moments, but that's alright, I'm prepared. Thank you for all your support! Regards, Tarja Peters |
